One crisp autumn day, we (Paddy & Hana) were celebrating our one-year anniversary with a foodie adventure in Bristol. While enjoying the day, we stumbled upon an advert for KFC. Disgusted by the sight, Paddy blurted out a thought that would change everything:
"What if we made vegan chicken that tastes amazing and is completely cruelty-free... We could even call it... 'No Frickin Chicken!'"
That spark of an idea quickly ignited something much bigger. With Paddy’s 12 years of experience as a fine dining chef and a burning desire to start his own business post-pandemic, and Hana's background in FMCG and food marketing, we realized this could really work.
Fast forward three years, and in February 2024, we took a bold step: opening our very own Diner in our hometown of Worcester!
But don’t worry, our iconic American-style trailer is still out there, traveling far and wide. We’ve rocked three festival seasons, with spots at Glastonbury, Download, Reading, Greenman, Shambala, 2000 Trees, Vegan Camp Out, and so many more!
We absolutely love Worcester, and we couldn’t wait to plant our roots here. Our Diner in St Johns, just outside the city centre, offers a wider menu, indoor seating, coffee, alcohol, and so much more than we could ever fit in our trailer.
The idea snowballed, with visions of meal deals, creative shakes, catchy slogans, and epic festivals... could this be the start of world domination?
With Paddy’s culinary expertise and relentless pursuit of perfect flavors, combined with Hana’s decade of experience in food marketing for vegan brands, this dream team was ready to make "No Frickin Chicken" a reality.
We launched as an American-style foodie trailer, serving up mouthwatering vegan fried chicken and burgers. From festivals to food markets, high streets to special events, we brought high-quality street food that not only tasted great but looked fantastic too.
We are incredibly proud of what we’ve created: The Trailer, The Diner, our fantastic team, and the customers who have become like family.
We’re a small, independent business - two of us, supported by our fabulous small team, family, and friends.
Of course everything is Vegan and we have loads of gluten-free options, so no one misses out! We can’t wait to meet you and feed your faces!
And to top it all off, we care about the planet just as much as we care about animals. We’re doing our best to be zero waste, and all our cutlery is recyclable or biodegradable.
